A Storm is Brewing...

Once again it's been a couple of days. (Had a couple late nights out so no time to write) Today I've found myself a few minutes so I decided to capitalize on it and jot some things down. :)

I had a wonderful day Saturday! I was a little concerned about Adopt-A-Block because it was raining but we persevered and the rain ended up stopping half way through. Saw several people we met on the previous two weeks. Afterwards Rose, Naomi, and I painted a woman's house and were able to share with her the love of Christ. I also met another girl, a single mother, around my age - a complete divine appointment. I'm excited to further a friendship with her and to be an encouragement to her. Though not a Christian she is willing to volunteer with us on Saturdays which will be a huge blessing as she knows the area and the residents living there.

That afternoon Abigail (Rose's younger sister) came over and we watched TV and chatted over lunch along with Sue and Allison.

Saturday night I hung out with Lynsey, a girl I met through Celebration Church. It was our first time meeting actually as we had only been contacting through Facebook. Lyns will be joining The Movement in January! (Upon acceptance) She had a couple questions about the program so we decided to get together and I'm so glad we did! She is amazing! We went out to Portadown to hang out with several of her friends who all attend Celebration Church - what a good craic we had! Felt amazing to connect with people around my age - been missing that a lot lately.

Yesterday was 9/11. It's hard to believe it's been ten years - I remember everything like it was yesterday. I felt very blessed to be an American and proud of my country and all those who protect her. There were a numerous television specials on 9/11 over here - I had no idea how much the UK was involved - it made me feel a little closer to home.

On a more upbeat note, yesterday was an INCREDIBLE day! We had a healing service in the morning. Worship was extremely anointed and God showed up in a big way! Pastor Cecil brought the message on Miracles and during the alter call I don't think there was one eye dry. I haven't cried that much in a service in a long time. It was a beautiful moment for all of us at JCC. God is really doing a great work in that church.

Last night Simple Faith did a concert at JCC to raise money and prayer partners for the Dream Centre. They were amazing (as usual) and though we only had a wee crowd I know that God is our provider and I truly believe He has everything under control. After the concert Rose, Naomi, Steven, and I along with Paul and Jonathan from Simple Faith all headed to Alan and Rachel's to fellowship, eat Chinese, and make fun if Rosie :) It was a perfect ending to a great day.

Such an excellent weekend! Full of friends, laughter, and testimonies. God continues to amaze me!

Today I worked in the office all day. Normally Monday is my day off but Hannah is away on holiday so they needed someone to man the phones. Not much to do because the internet was down and I was the only one in the office for most of the day. Had some good Julie and Jesus one on one time though and I got my message prepared for Wednesday - so I cant really complain.

Hard to believe I've been here for over a month already! I know the next 3 will fly by and soon I'll be on a plane headed back to the States for Christmas - but oh the things that will happen in the next 90+ days!! I can hardly wait as I anticipate great things!

Well I best be getting off here - we got a huge storm on its way...No thunder - but lots of wind.

Please continue to keep the work of the Dream Centre in your prayers - specifically the Youth Ministry, Street Reach, and Adopt-A-Block. As well as JCC.

Thanks for all of your love and support. I couldn't make it out here if I didn't have that! Blessings to you all on the home front!

xoxo

PS - Also to cap off a great evening last night was the Texans outstanding win against the Colts. I know I've said this before - but THIS IS OUR YEAR! - I can just feel it! :)
