Mine was wonderful!
Headed out to Adopt-a-Block this morning. Was a wee bit tired but had a coffee to get me going :)
Left the church around 11am to pick up litter down Shore Road. I love when people stop to ask us what we are doing. It's a silly question really - "Uh picking up litter?" They really should be asking WHY we are doing it. So I usually just go ahead and include that in my answer. Still its an awesome way to start up a conversation with a stranger and immediately throw "God's love" into the mix.
We arrived at the site about half past 11 and Abigail (who was at the church in a mtg when we left) said she would walk to join us cause Vinny was also in a mtg and not yet finished (he was her ride). So we went and visited with Peggy and Kathleen until she arrived. Then we split into two groups. Abigail took Jacs and a girl Emma (who volunteers on Saturdays with AAB) over to visit with Mr. McCrae and some others while I took the boys to pick up litter in the nearby housing community. Later Vinny arrived and we all joined up to play "football" with some kids and visit a couple more families. Brilliant day at Adopt-a-Block!!!
On our trek back to the church we ran into Michael (who volunteers with us and actually lives at one of the sites). He was out walking his dog. Hahaha Tyson (his dog) had found a HUGE stick and was carrying it as if it was a twig. HILARIOUS to watch him turn his head and knock people off the sidewalk with it!

Looks like Tyson won... :) |
Soon after Jacs and I went into town to chill a bit. Stopped at a couple stores to shop (well she shopped - I browsed). At 6pm everything closed so we headed over to Victoria Square for dinner. Decided to try some Northern Ireland Mexican food. Though there was no comparison, my fajitas were still DELICIOUS!

Unfortunately we just missed the last bus home so opted for a taxi instead of waiting for an hour for a different bus (that we were told might not have even shown up). I'm gonna try and head to bed now - as I am still trying to get into some kind of timely bedtime routine :)
Have a wonderful night!!
