Scones, Flowers, and a Tent...

What an impactful day! From start to finish!
Adopt-A-Block this morning was, in my book, the BEST ONE YET! Where to even begin!? (Probably the start ha!) Well we went out - Jacs, L-j, Camz, Charlie, Michael, and I with Tesco bags in hand! Vinny wasn't feeling well and so we had no rubbish bags until later. It was a challenge using them - but we got along alright. We headed straight to the football pitch and met up with Daniel. Then our football game began! I opted not to play and sit on a bench with a couple wee girls (smart move Julie) but the rest played and the kids were SO into it! I forgot my camera or I would've had a video for you!

After awhile Vinny came and began to visit with families - which reminded Jacs and I that we should probably head out and visit Mr McCrae. When we arrived at his house we noticed he was all dressed up. (white button-down shirt and dress pants) We asked him why he was dressed so nice and if he was going out. . . to which he replied; "Oh no I'm not going anywhere, I wanted to dress up for you guys." He seriously melted my heart. We sat and watched part of a game show before heading out to leave. He had mentioned a couple times how he wasn't feeling well at all so we asked if we could pray for him - he said YES! (We asked him last week and he said he wasn't really comfortable with it) So God is softening his heart! Next week we are believing to be able to open up with him more about the Lord - please keep this in your prayers!

We then went off to visit with Vera and her family. She made us scones with berries, cream, & jam! How sweet of her! We invited everyone who was still at the football pitch to come over for some tea and scones and we all enjoyed a good time of fellowship. Vera's granddaughter (who lives down the street) was over and I began to hang out with her. Made a couple princess puzzles (she's 5yrs) before heading outside to use our imaginations! We played spy in her tent . . . and then picked dozens of little daisy's to pull petals off and sprinkle them everywhere in hopes they will grow more (she was too cute!) I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon with her!

Got home a bit later but I had no plans and so it was no bother at all. I wish I could end on a high note saying my day ended there but the devil began to hit me hard. Lie after lie after lie. Agh I hate when he does that! The thing that messed with me the most though was that I realized how little I have been having Jesus + Julie time these past few weeks! I think I have been so caught up with outreaches and youth and what-have-you that I have failed to get any time in with just us. So things definitely changed tonight.
Matthew 61:33 "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
I also spent quite alot of time praying in the Spirit as I didn't know quite what to say. . . amazing how God is so faithful to meet you right where you are at!

I know the Devil wont go down without a fight so I am not expecting the next few days/weeks to be easy. . . but I am expecting to be victorious!

Living by faith and not by sight!
